that's what a lot of websites were saying, but they got it wrong. the original was the 14th, but someone copied it and changed the date.

oh well, I heard about steak and blowjob day in 2002 and I thought it was a joke, so I "Googled it" . the only thing that came up in 2002 was march 20. 2002 and 2003 steak and blowjob day was on march 20. this year on another site someone said steak and blowjob day was the march 14, so I "Googled it" again, thats how i found this site. this site "claims" it was the first to come up with steak and blowjob day, then why wasent it on any search engines back in 2002?

I never claimed I came up with SaBJD, I said Birdsey did. He came up with it back in 2002, I heard of it through a friend shortly after, and created this website around April 2002. It didn't hit Google until I think December 2002 or January 2003. The oldest web stats I have on hand are November 2002, and there were only 30 visits the entire month (so far this month there have been over 130,000 visits).

Out of all the websites that claim March 20th as being SaBJD, I have yet to find one with any evidence that pre-dates February 2002 when my friend first heard it on the radio from Tom Birdsey.

Why don't we just celebrate it on both days? I know my boyfriend would like that. haha I'd rather think it was the 14th, simply for the rivalry against V-day. I plan on celebrating this year Very Happy

I'm all for S&BJ day - in fact i've had the pleasure of experiencing this wonderful and long overdue holiday since before 2002 and the date has always been MARCH 20th. All this considered...does it really matter what day it is, as long as IT IS?

I wrote the original email that was then spammed across the globe, Changing and evolving along the way. The one that starts “You know the drill, every 14th February….blah blah blah …ensure a more memorable March” The date I specified for S and a BJ day on this email was indeed March 20th. I sent the email to about 8 or so people and thought no more of it. Only last week did I realise just how big S and a BJ day had got. Here’s to the power of Spam! Ironically, after writing the email and then spending a fortune on my girlfriend on Valentines Day we split up before March the 20th! So having sparked off a international day of joy, which has brought so much happiness to thousands of couples, I personally have never had the opportunity to celebrate S and a BJ day. Perhaps, now it's such a recognised day this year will be different!

When I had first heard of it through a colleague of mine, she told me that she heard Storm and Birdsey on the radio in January/February of 2002 advertising it as March 14th.
The reason for the text on the front being similar to the spammed email is because I googled for "steak and bj day" and found the email (all with send dates after 3/2002), and used that text with the modified date that I found on Storm and Birdsey's website (archive here: http://web.archive.org/web/20021211223105/www.stormandbirdsey.com/Storm+and+Birdsey/Miscellaneous/SteakandBJDay2002.htm)

I set up webalizer statistics in October, 2002, and have usage stastics from 10/2002 to present.
A year or two later, Storm was no longer with FNX Radio (he moved to another state to raise a family, from what I hear). Afterwards, it was Tom Birdsey who promoted the holiday on FNX Radio.

To be honest, i don't really care who came up with it or when they did. If my text was used in the advancement of such a great day then all the better. Let us stop this fighting and use our time to forward the news of this great day to the ends of the earth. Here's to S and a Bj day!

This is when and how I heard of the holiday. The forum is still there for all to see. It shows the date as March 20th and was posted on that forum 3-15-02

Yeah, it was due to a spam email. That much seems to be accurate.

Boy I hope my girlfriend does not see this site. I have convinced her that steak and blow job day is every Sunday. I think you all are slakers for celebrating it only once a year instead of once a week. I guess thats why they call me Master Nasty!

With 2/14 approaching, I was discussing the day w. a male friend of mine, when he told me about 3/14. (Yes, this my first hearing of it)And I have to say "KUDOS TO YOU, GUYS!" Flowers die in 3 days, I'm not a "bling" kind of girl and chocolate....well, let's just say I'd prefer a steak done to my liking (med-rare) followed by oral over the typical v-day gifts any year. I support s&bj day! I think it's fantastic and will be spreading the word.
